Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is an American singer, songwriter, and actress from New York City. She got her start performing at downtown burlesque shows after dropping out of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the early 2000s. Taking cues from avant-pop icons like David Bowie, Andy Warhol, and Freddie Mercury, she became known for mixing underground club sounds with pop melodies and big personas. She also wrote songs for Britney Spears, The Pussycat Dolls, and Akon.
Gaga's Grammy-winning 2008 debut album The Fame (and it’s expanded reissue The Fame Monster, which is listed as one of Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums) catapulted her into the global spotlight, and subsequent projects like 2011’s Born This Way and 2020’s Chromatica became staples in nightclubs and pop radio. Her biggest hits—including Bad Romance, Poker Face, Paparazzi, Applause, and Just Dance—helped define club-pop of the 2000’s, and she has collaborated with Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Elton John, BLACKPINK, as well as Bruno Mars on the Grammy-winning 2024 smash Die With a Smile.
Over the years, Gaga has continued to reach beyond the bounds of pop music. In addition to two collaborative jazz albums with Tony Bennett—both of which received Grammy Awards for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album—she has received accolades for her work in film and TV, including acting roles in American Horror Story and A Star is Born alongside Bradley Cooper. Shallow, the pair's hit duet from the film, helped make Gaga the first woman in history to win an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Grammy Award and a Golden Globe Award in the same year. She has also appeared in House of Gucci, Joker: Folie à Deux, and the 2024 Apple Original special A Carpool Karaoke Christmas. She headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2017 and hosted Gaga Radio on Apple Music in 2020.

- MAY 14, 2026 Apple Music Live: MAYHEM Requiem

When Lady Gaga set off on an international tour in support of MAYHEM, her sixth studio album, she traveled the globe with her own opera house in tow. Each night, the columns and ornate finishes of this surreal theater’s facade served as the backdrop for her journey into the madness of MAYHEM. But now the opera house has been reduced to rubble—and it’s time to pay our respects and prepare for MAYHEM’s final act. For Apple Music Live, Gaga presents MAYHEM Requiem, a celebration and musical reimagining of MAYHEM. The phantom of her own gothic opera, she spends most of the intimate evening at The Wiltern in Los Angeles at the piano or synths, where she helms reimagined arrangements of “Abracadabra,” “Disease,” and the rest of MAYHEM’s tracklist among the cracked columns and scattered ruins of the opera house. From the heavy industrial clashes of “Killah” to an electro-funk rework of her Bruno Mars duet “Die with a Smile,” MAYHEM Requiem is both a perfect companion to the original album and a singular experience: You’ll never hear the songs of MAYHEM the same way, but you can hear them now in Spatial Audio.
