Tony Bennett was an American singer (1926-2023). He performed as a teenage army-band singer entertaining troops stationed in Europe during World War II. Bennett is known for his iconic rendition of (I Left My Heart) In San Francisco, which won him the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1963.

He released an album of the same title in 1962. Bennett went on to release dozens more albums, including I Wanna Be Around... in 1963, Live at The Sahara: Las Vegas in 1964, Steppin' Out in 1993, and MTV Unplugged in 1994. He collaborated with Count Basie on albums in the 1950s and released The Tony Bennett / Bill Evans Album with pianist Bill Evans in 1975.

Bennett won Grammy Awards for Album of the Year for MTV Unplugged: Tony Bennett in 1995 and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for For Once in My Life in 2007.
