Bert Lahr was an American actor (1895-1967). He appeared in films such as Just Around the Corner with Shirley Temple and The Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland, where he is widely known for his portrayal of the Cowardly Lion. Lahr also starred in Ship Ahoy and Rose Marie. Beyond film, he starred opposite E.G. Marshall in the 1956 landmark Broadway production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot.
