Jimmy Cobb

American jazz drummer

Jimmy Cobb was an American jazz drummer. He played drums on Miles Davis' album Kind of Blue and co-led a trio with pianist Wynton Kelly and bassist Paul Chambers. Cobb also worked with Dinah Washington. He released the albums 4 Generations of Miles with Ron Carter and Mike Stern, New York Time, and West of 5th with Hank Jones. Among Jimmy Cobb's songs are Confirmation with Christian McBride and Jones, Newest Blues with McBride and Cedar Walton, and Nobody Else but Me. He appeared in the documentary Miles Davis: The Miles Davis Story.
