Mickey Hart is an American percussionist. He was a drummer in the Grateful Dead, formed Diga Rhythm Band, and has worked with Zakir Hussain on world music projects. Hart has released albums including Global Drum Project, Music to Be Born By, and Planet Drum. His most popular songs include Ripple with Peter Frampton and Bob Weir, and Fire On the Mountain with Bob Weir and Jimmy Cliff. Hart has appeared in the documentaries Long Strange Trip and Let There Be Drums!.
