Harry Barris
American singer and songwriter (1905–1962)
Harry Barris was an American singer and songwriter (1905-1962). He formed the Rhythm Boys vocal trio with Al Rinker and Bing Crosby in the mid-1920s, and as the featured vocalist of the trio, recorded with Paul Whiteman's band. Barris led his own bands over the next couple of decades, having previously led a touring group by the age of 17. He appeared in films including Something to Sing About, The Shining Hour, and The Lost Weekend. Barris released Happy Feet with Bing Crosby and Al Rinker, Out o' Town Gal with Bing Crosby and Paul Whiteman, and I Surrender Dear with Ben Webster.
