American jazz trumpeter, singer, and actor
Jack Sheldon was an American trumpeter, singer, and actor (1931-2019). He performed with Benny Goodman, Bill Berry’s big band, and with his own groups in the '70s and '80s. Sheldon sang Conjunction Junction and I’m Just a Bill for Schoolhouse Rock! He appeared on albums regularly for Concord and his Butterfly label, including Blues in the Night, Holiday for Lovers with Herb Geller and Bob Enevoldsen, and In Perfect Harmony: The Lost Album with Chet Baker. His most popular songs include Green Dolphin Street, Report from the North Pole with Bob Dorough and Bob Kaliban, and This Can’t Be Love with Baker. Sheldon appeared in the Hard Time franchise.
