American jazz trumpeter and vocalist
Chet Baker was an American jazz trumpeter and vocalist. He emerged in the '50s as a member of Gerry Mulligan's pianoless quartet, released the albums Chet Baker Sings and Chet, and launched a comeback with You Can't Go Home Again in 1977. Baker was the subject of Bruce Weber's documentary Let's Get Lost released in 1988, the year of his passing. His most popular songs include I Fall in Love Too Easily, My Funny Valentine, and It Never Entered My Mind. The album The Best of the Gerry Mulligan Quartet with Chet Baker was released in 1991.
