Chaim Topol was an Israeli actor. He is best known for playing Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, for which he received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. Topol also appeared in films such as Cast a Giant Shadow alongside Frank Sinatra and John Wayne, Flash Gordon, For Your Eyes Only, and the documentary Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles.
