Steve Miller Band is an American rock band. The band was founded in 1967 and its first recordings were backing Chuck Berry at The Fillmore. Steve Miller then moved to San Francisco. The band released the albums The Joker, which includes the popular song of the same name, and Fly Like an Eagle. Fly Like an Eagle was sampled by multiple influential hip-hop artists and is one of the band's most popular songs alongside The Joker and Abracadabra. The band also released Book of Dreams.
