American actor

Marlon Brando was an American actor. He is known for his iconic performance as Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, which he reprised in the 1951 film adaptation. Brando also appeared in Julius Caesar, On the Waterfront for which he received the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Drama, and One-Eyed Jacks. He starred in The Godfather and Superman. Brando received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for his role in Roots: The Next Generations. Later in his career, Brando appeared in The Island of Dr. Moreau and The Score with Robert De Niro. Beyond acting, Brando recorded an excerpt from Shakespeare, Great Audio Moments, Vol.34: Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, alongside John Gielgud and James Mason.
