Zero Mostel was an American actor. He played Max Bialystock in Mel Brooks' The Producers alongside Gene Wilder. Mostel's other film credits include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Du Barry Was a Lady, Foreplay, Sirocco, and The Front. He received a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance in Rhinoceros and is known for playing Tevye in the Broadway production of Fiddler On the Roof.
