John Phillips

American musician (1935–2001)

John Phillips was an American musician (1935-2001). He formed the folk group the Journeymen in the early 1960s with Scott McKenzie and Dick Weissman, which toured the folk club and college circuit. Phillips later formed The Mamas And The Papas in the 1960s. He released the extended play John Phillips: The Square Sessions and appeared in the documentary Monterey Pop.
