Scott McKenzie

American singer and songwriter (1939–2012)

Scott McKenzie was an American musician. He sang San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair), which became an anthem of the 1967 Summer of Love. McKenzie released the albums Stained Glass Morning and The Voice of Scott McKenzie. He co-wrote the song Kokomo with John Phillips, whom he had met in the 1960s. McKenzie appeared in the documentary Monterey Pop and recorded solo work until his death in 2012.
