Barry Dennen was an American actor (1938-2017). He is best known for playing Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar. Dennen also appeared in films such as The Shining as Bill Watson, Brannigan alongside John Wayne and Richard Attenborough, and Madhouse. Additionally, he lent his voice to the animated series DuckTales and appeared in the television series Beau Geste.
