Sherie Rene Scott is an American actress, singer, and writer. She appeared in Randy Newman's musical version of Faust at the La Jolla Playhouse and made her Broadway debut as Sally Simpson in The Who's Tommy. Scott reprised her role in a production of Hair in Woodstock, New York, and played ditzy Marty in the Broadway revival of Grease. She also appeared in the CBS sitcom My Guys and replaced Idina Menzel as Maureen in Rent. Scott appeared in the film Marci X alongside Lisa Kudrow and Damon Wayans. She has made notable music contributions, including her popular song The Folks Who Live on the Hill.
