Dale Evans was an American actress, singer, and writer. Evans appeared in films such as War of the Wildcats with John Wayne, The Yellow Rose of Texas, Rainbow Over Texas, and My Pal Trigger. She co-starred in the television series The Roy Rogers Show and married Roy Rogers in 1947. Together, they released the album Great Songs of the Old West and worked on singing Happy Trails to You. Evans had popular singles with Roy Rogers including I Talk To The Trees/Paint Your Wagon, They Call The Wind Maria/Wand'rin' Star, and The Little Shoemaker.
