

James Darren
American actor, singer
James Darren was an American actor. He appeared in movies including Gidget, The Guns of Navarone where he worked with Richard Harris, and Lucky where he worked with David Lynch. Darren created and played the role of Vic Fontaine in the syndicated Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He also appeared in the series T.J. Hooker, Time Tunnel, and the final season of Fox's Melrose Place where he acted opposite Heather Locklear as Tony Marlin. Beyond acting, Darren directed the film Police Story: Gladiator School and the series Walker, Texas Ranger. He released the singles You Take My Heart Away, Her Royal Majesty, and It's Nice to Go Trav'ling. James Darren passed away in 2024.
