Ossie Davis was an American actor, director, writer, and activist. He appeared in films such as Do the Right Thing, Dr. Dolittle, Grumpy Old Men, and The Secret Path. Davis directed the films Cotton Comes to Harlem and Black Girl. He was married to Ruby Dee with whom he frequently performed. Davis also released the singles I Dream a World and Eulogy. He passed away in 2005.
