Ruby Dee was an American actress (1922-2014). Her film credits include Buck and the Preacher, Do the Right Thing, Go Tell It On the Mountain, and A Thousand Words. Dee also appeared in the television series Stephen King's The Stand and received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Decoration Day.
