Mike Bloomfield
American blues guitarist (1943–1981)
Mike Bloomfield was an American blues guitarist (1943-1981). He played with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, backed Bob Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival electric-band debut in 1965, formed the supergroup the Electric Flag, and participated in numerous all-star projects. Bloomfield worked with Al Kooper on the albums Fillmore East: The Lost Concert Tapes, The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper, and Super Session with Stephen Stills. Among Bloomfield's most popular songs with Al Kooper are Stop, Albert's Shuffle, and Man's Temptation.
