American blues harmonica player
Paul Butterfield was a blues harmonica player. He released his first albums of modernised Chicago blues, and his band played a key role in rock history by helping Bob Dylan along in his transition to electric music. Butterfield released Live New York 1970, The Legendary Paul Butterfield Rides Again, and Live at the Lone Star featuring Rick Danko and Richard Manuel. His most popular songs include Wild Cow Moan featuring Big Joe Williams, Three Harp Boogie with Elvin Bishop and James Cotton, and Mannish Boy.
