

John McEuen
American musician
John McEuen is an American musician. He co-founded the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, bridging the gap between bluegrass and pop music. He earned the nickname the String Wizard for his skills on the banjo, mandolin, guitar, and fiddle.
McEuen has had a nearly 60-year recording career, releasing albums Round Trip with The L.A. String Wizards, String Wizards, and The Newsman: A Man of Record. He has also released popular songs Acoustic Traveller, Dogs Are In the Woods, and Back In History with Leon Russell.
McEuen appears in the film Sesame Street: Kids Favorite Country Songs.
