Miriam Makeba was a South African singer and civil rights activist. She released her self-titled album in 1960 and collaborating with Harry Belafonte on the album An Evening with Belafonte/Makeba in 1965. Makeba released the song Pata Pata in 1967. She appeared in the documentary Amandla! A Revolution In Four-Part Harmony, the film Sarafina!
