Melissa Peterman is an American actress. She appeared in the films Fargo, Haul Out the Holly, and Reba McEntire's The Hammer. Peterman co-starred with Reba McEntire in the television series Reba from 2001 to 2007, portraying Barbara Jean across six seasons. She also appeared in the series Young Sheldon, Baby Daddy, and Happy's Place alongside Reba McEntire. Peterman studied improvisation techniques at the Brave New Workshop and cohosted Spotify Podcasts' Self-Improvement podcast Living & Learning with Reba McEntire.
