Jerry Garcia was an American guitarist and singer (1942-1995). He led the Grateful Dead and formed a duo with mandolinist David Grisman. Garcia released the album Shady Grove with Grisman, the solo album Garcia (Expanded), and The Pizza Tapes with Grisman and Tony Rice. Among Garcia's most popular songs are Bird Song and Sugaree. He appeared in the documentary film Gimme Shelter.
