

John Primer
American Chicago blues singer and guitarist
John Primer is an American Chicago blues singer and guitarist. He released Crawlin' Kingsnake with Bob Corritore. Primer fronted the Maintainers, joined Muddy Waters' last band until Waters' death in 1983, and played rhythm guitar behind Willie Dixon. He also spent 13 years with Magic Slim & the Teardrops, during which time he released Slow Blues with Magic Slim. Primer appears in the documentary Muddy Waters & the Rolling Stones Live At the Checkerboard Lounge, Chicago 1981, which was released in 2012.
