Joe Jones

American R&B singer, songwriter and arranger

Joe Jones was an American musician (1926-2005). He studied at the Juilliard Conservatory of Music, served as a pianist and arranger for B.B. King, and founded his own publishing firm in Los Angeles in 1973. Jones is best remembered for the 1960 novelty smash You Talk Too Much, one of his most popular songs. He released albums including Chinese Whispers, Cover Story, the extended play Night + Day. He is credited with discovering the Dixie Cups.
