American musician and founder of Ramones

Johnny Ramone was an American musician. He was a founding member of the pioneering punk rock band the Ramones, helping establish their distinctive image and sound. Johnny Ramone performed regularly at CBGB's in downtown New York City with the band.


He released solo albums including Back on the Grind and Good to the Last Drop, as well as the extended play Ramones' Solo Performances with Marky Ramone. His most popular songs include Memphis Blues Brothers, What Cha Wanna Do with Me Tonight, and Lying Right Here Next to Me.
Johnny Ramone appeared in the 1979 film Rock 'n' Roll High School. He passed away in 2004.
