Dany Boon is a French actor, screenwriter, and film director. He wrote, directed, and starred in Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis (Welcome to the Sticks), which broke box office records in France. He also appeared in Merry Christmas with Diane Kruger, Nothing to Declare, Lolo, and The Crime Is Mine. Boon began to gain cultural traction following his appearance on a live TV show in 1992, leading to performances in original sketches and one-man shows. Beyond acting, Boon has directed Happy Home (La Maison Du Bonheur) and R.A.I.D. Special Unit.
