Jeff Schmidt is an American musician. As a bassist, he developed a unique playing style tuned higher than normal using lighter strings, commonly referred to as Piccolo bass. Schmidt released the albums Outre, S U B C O R T I A, and the EP _ism. He has popular songs including Numb, Pax Animi, and Fomentum. Schmidt appears in the documentary Creating Freedom: The Lottery of Birth.
