Jane Fonda, Cliff Robertson, and Robert Culp star in this influential '60s sex comedy. Fonda stars as prim 22-year-old virgin Eileen Tyler, who considers premarital sex when she travels from Albany to visit her womanizing brother (Robertson) in New York City and, although engaged to another man, flirts with a stranger (Rod Taylor) she meets on a bus. Norman Krasna adapted his hit Broadway sex farce for the screen under the direction of Peter Tewksbury. Jim Backus has a minor role as a flight dispatcher. Musician Peter Nero, who scored the film, appears in a cameo.
