Misia was a Portuguese musician. She debuted in 1991 with a self-titled LP. Her album Garras dos sentidos, released in 1998, marked her first proper American release. Misia released the albums Do Primeiro Fado Ao Ultimo Tango and Senhora da Noite. Misia's most popular songs included O Manto da Rainha, Lagrima, and Fados das Violetas. She appeared in the documentary Passione.
