Eric Church brings his critically acclaimed eighth studio album to the silver screen with Evangeline vs. the Machine: Comes Alive, a special concert film debuting in IMAX theaters in 2026. This official soundtrack pulls audio from the film, which was shot at Nashville venue the Pinnacle across two sold-out nights in May 2025, celebrating the release of Church’s most ambitious and experimental album yet. Even without the accompanying visuals, Evangeline vs. the Machine: Comes Alive is an immersive listen, as Church and his band rip through 19 of the country superstar’s best-loved songs, spanning his two decades as one of country music’s most interesting figures. Highlights include newer tunes like the Evangeline cut “Hands of Time,” which sounds right at home with a live audience singing along to a heartland-rock-inspired chorus, as well as older material like the loose and loping “Creepin’,” a standout off Church’s breakthrough 2011 third album Chief. In typical Church fashion, he closes the project with a larger-than-life take on the Chief smash “Springsteen,” which gets a welcome extended jam.
