Claudia Fontaine
Claudia Fontaine was a British singer. She provided backing vocals for Keith Douglas, Tony Tuff, and King Sounds in the early 1980s and joined La Famile in 1982, singing lead vocals alongside Brown Sugar and Caron Wheeler. She recorded the disco hit Dancer with the group that same year. Fontaine also recorded her version of Bloodstone's classic R&B ballad Natural High with producer Junior Boothe. Fontaine teamed up with Raymond Simpson as Raymond & Claudia in 1983, recording commercially successful versions of George Benson's Turn Your Love Around. She also performed Women in Reggae with Diana King and Judy Mowatt, which is one of her popular songs. Outside of her group projects, Fontaine provided backing vocals on tours and concerts by Pink Floyd, Joe Cocker, and The Jam.
