Turner's work is compiled on such albums as Essential Rock N' Roll Blues Masters, Sexy-Seductive-Provocative with Tina Turner, and The Bad Man (Rare and unreleased Ike Turner produced recordings 1962-1965). Among his best-known tracks are It's Gonna Work Out Fine with Tina Turner and My Real Gone Rocket with Jackie Brenston. He received Grammy Awards for Best R&B Performance by a Group for Proud Mary, and Best Traditional Blues Album for Risin' with the Blues. He appeared in the documentary Gimme Shelter.
