David Clayton-Thomas

Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter

David Clayton-Thomas is a British musician. He appeared on NBC's Hullabaloo with the Fabulous Shays in 1964 and later formed the jazz-inspired Bossmen, who had a hit with Brainwashed in 1966. Clayton-Thomas joined Blood, Sweat & Tears as lead vocalist in 1968 and released his solo album Sings Like It Is! He released several solo albums, including Canadiana, David Clayton-Thomas, and In Concert: A Musical Biography. His most popular songs include If You Don't Know Me By Now, The Mornin' News, and Midnight Train to Georgia. Clayton-Thomas also appears in the documentary What the Hell Happened to Blood Sweat & Tears?.
