

Håkan Hagegård
Håkan Hagegård is a Swedish singer. He made his opera debut as Papageno at the Stockholm Opera in 1968 and became a member of the company in 1970. Hagegård made his international debut at Glyndebourne as the Count in Richard Strauss' Capriccio. His albums include Strauss, R.: Capriccio featuring Kiri Te Kanawa and the Wiener Philharmoniker, Brahms: Symphonies Nos. 1-4, Overtures, Ein deutsches Requiem with the New York Philharmonic and Kurt Masur, and Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro, K. 492 with Barbara Bonney and Arleen Auger. Hagegård played Papageno in Ingmar Bergman's 1975 film adaptation of Mozart's opera The Magic Flute. His most popular songs include Peer Gynt, Op. 23, Act IV: Prelude. Morgenstemning (Morning Mood) and Peer Gynt, Op. 23, Act I: Prelude. I Bryllupsgarden (At the Wedding), both with Kari Simonsen and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, and Carmina burana: O Fortuna with Leonard Slatkin and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
