

Scott Avett
American musician
Scott Avett is an American musician. With his brother Seth Avett, he formed the folk-rock band The Avett Brothers, who released several albums, including The Second Gleam. Avett primarily plays the banjo but also plays harmonica, drums, piano, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar. Solo, he has released the song Hammer Down with Charles Wesley Godwin. Outside of his music career, Avett is an accomplished artist and printmaker whose work has been exhibited at the Envoy Gallery in New York City and the North Carolina Museum of Art. He appears in the documentary May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers.
