Ennio Morricone was an Italian composer, orchestrator, and conductor (1928-2020). Morricone’s music has had a profound and extensive influence on cinema. He scored numerous films across several decades, pioneered the spaghetti Western soundtrack style, and released albums including Once Upon a Time in America, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, The Mission, and The Untouchables. In 2016, Morricone received an Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Hateful Eight.
