Alex Chilton was an American singer and musician. He recorded early recordings as a blue-eyed soul vocalist with the Box Tops. In the mid-1970s, Chilton recorded and released idiosyncratic power pop albums with Big Star. He later released the albums Free Again: The 1970 Sessions, Like Flies on Sherbert and Set. His most popular songs are Hey! Little Child, and Oogum Boogum. Chilton passed away in 2010.
