British singer-songwriter
Roy Harper is a British singer-songwriter (b. 1941). He began recording in the late 1960s and has since released notable albums including Come Out Fighting Ghengis Smith, Sophisticated Beggar, and Stormcock. His most popular songs include Freak Suite, One Man Rock and Roll Band, and How Does It Feel. Harper sings lead on Pink Floyd's Have a Cigar and appeared in the documentaries Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same and Pink Floyd: The Story of Wish You Were Here. He was a major influence on Jethro Tull.
