Lloyd Price was an American singer (1933-2021). He began his career singing gritty New Orleans-style material for Specialty Records before jumping to the ABC-Paramount label in the late 1950s. Price released the single Stagger Lee in 1958, which became one of his most popular songs alongside Just Because and Personality. He released albums such as Greatest Hits: The Original ABC-Paramount Recordings, Mr. Personality, and The Exciting Lloyd Price.
