Burton Cummings is a Canadian musician. He was the lead singer of The Guess Who, best known for the song American Woman, from 1965-1975. After leaving the band, Cummings launched a solo career including the albums Burton Cummings (1976), Above the Ground (2008), and A Few Good Moments (2024). His most popular songs include Stand Tall, I'm Scared, and You Saved My Soul. He appears in the 2019 documentary Gordon Lightfoot: If You Could Read My Mind.
