

Jon Lord
English composer, pianist, and Hammond organ player (1941–2012)
Jon Lord was an English composer, pianist, and Hammond organ player (1941-2012). He was a member of English rock band Deep Purple and British hard rock band Whitesnake, and joined a re-formed Deep Purple in 1984. Lord released solo albums including Before I Forget, Gemini Suite, Blues Project, and Sarabande. He collaborated with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Cormac Henry on the double album Jon Lord: To Notice Such Things, Evening Song, et al. He released the song Concerto for Group and Orchestra: I. Moderato allegro with the London Symphony Orchestra and Paul Mann, and the song Movement Two with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. He also collaborated with Jason Newsted and Tony Iommi on the song Out of My Mind.
