Jill Jones is an American singer born in 1962. She moved to Minneapolis in 1983 to work on a solo album. Jones also worked with Ryuichi Sakamoto in the early 1990s. Her first job was as a backing singer for Teena Marie. She later released I Am, The Journey with Emory Lester, and The London Sessions. Jones has popular songs including I Miss You, Unattainable Love, and F**k You Til You're Groovy. She has appeared in films such as Purple Rain with Prince and Closer to God.
