John Denver was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist (1943-1997). He is known for writing Leaving on a Jet Plane and released albums such as Poems, Prayers & Promises, Rocky Mountain High, Back Home Again, Windsong, and All Aboard!. Denver received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children in 1997 for All Aboard!. Denver hosted Grammy Awards ceremonies, co-founded the international Hunger Project with Werner Erhard, and appeared in the films Oh, God!, The Christmas Gift, and Walking Thunder. His most popular songs include Life Is so Good, Rocky Mountain High, and Sunshine On My Shoulders.
