Charlie Benante is an American drummer. He co-wrote Anthrax's material with guitarist Scott Ian and is known as the drummer for  Stormtroopers of Death. Benante has spent his tenure with Anthrax both behind the kit and behind the scenes, co-writing a sizeable portion of the band's material. He has released albums including Silver Linings and has popular songs such as Run-DMC Medley, Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns, and Yer so Bad. Benante also appears in the documentary Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal.
