Barbara Carroll
Jazz pianist, composer and vocalist. (1925–2017)
Barbara Carroll was a Jazz pianist, composer, and vocalist. She led her own trio on New York City's 52nd Street in the '40s, married bassist Joe Shulman in 1954, and passed away in 2017. Carroll released the albums Fresh from Broadway!, Live At the Carlyle, and Ladies of Jazz with Mary Lou Williams. Among her most popular songs are On a Clear Day, 'Tis Autumn, and Lonely Town. Carroll appeared in the film Death on a High Mountain.
