Gordon Lightfoot was a Canadian singer-songwriter. His popular songs include The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, If You Could Read My Mind, and Sundown. His albums include If You Could Read My Mind, Sundown, and Gord's Gold. By the mid-1960s, he had found as much success in Canada with other artists' versions of his songs as with his own recordings. He was one of the key figures in the 1970s singer-songwriter boom. Lightfoot appeared in the documentaries Gordon Lightfoot: If You Could Read My Mind and Anne Murray: Full Circle as well as the film Harry Tracy.
